Hey Southern Cross Club Faithful,
I think most of you know Neil van Niekerk, from SCC days. Neil is living in St. Petersburg, FL and is engaged to a nice American girl. That is the FYI part.
Neil’s day job is with the Indy Lights race circuit, but he has independently started a new nonprofit 501(c)(3) company called 2°C with an ex NOAA scientist. We like the mission of this company. It uses people, like you and I, to collect data on our world’s temperature, above and below the water. When you run, trek, cycle, dive, paddle, ski, or camp with a wearable 2°C LEAF climate sensor, you join a global, dynamic observing network taking the pulse of the planet.
Start ups are hard. And they require money. I have helped this company get off the ground, but they are still looking for help raising money to get some start up capital. Anything you can give will help. Thanks for any consideration.
Best way to do it is to go directly to 2DegreesC.org to learn more about what the company does, and if inclined, go to the donate button.
Sincerely, Peter Hillenbrand
